CLASS INFO
Welcome to Act Development! I can’t wait to create new acts together.
This class meets Sundays from MAY 7-JUNE 11 from 4-6pm Eastern Time.
This class is a workshop so dress comfortably and be prepared to sit and listen during the first class.
I will ask about if you have act ideas that you want to work on, but if you are not sure yet, that’s okay too!
In addition to this page (which exists so you can get the class info in one place, and always have easy access to the link to our class) we will also have a shared Google folder for our class, so that you can upload music and video as necessary, and take advantage of the Act Development resources I will be sharing.
If you are thinking about act ideas and haven’t come up with anything yet, please check out this little ACT INSPIRATION set of worksheets I put together - maybe something will resonate!
We will all be bringing work to show to the class each week, and because life does not stop lifing during burlesque class, you will get more done some weeks than others! Do your best to get the ‘homework’ done each week, but please come to class even if you didn’t get it done - I am not a scolding type teacher (it’s your act, after all!) and this class relies on peer to peer feedback so your presence is important!

INSPIRATION:
Jo Weldon’s book The Burlesque Handbook contains extremely useful information on everything from how to choose a name to how to twirl tassels. I highly recommend it as a companion to your journey into burlesque.
