BURLESQUE FOR BEGINNERS

Have you always been interested in glamorous burlesque ? This is the perfect class for brand-new burlesque babes to test to waters, build confidence, and explore the art of burlesque.

We’ll learn some basic burlesque dance movements, talk about feeling sexy in your own skin, and cover some striptease essentials. You’ll learn a sexy, cheeky and glamorous burlesque routine over the course of several weeks, and leave class feeling confident, empowered and ready to strut your stuff!

This class is for people of all ages, shapes, and sizes, and all genders, presentations and levels of ability are welcome. While we will be dancing a lot, this is not a hardcore cardio class, and you do not need to be fit or have dance experience to join.

Class will be held live on Zoom on Tuesdays May 12, 19, 26 and June 2. A recorded video of the live class will be available for those who can’t attend. The recorded videos will be accessible to all registered students for six months after class ends. Please join us!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Week One: Find Your Spotlight

-Discover how to step into your burlesque persona

-Learn sexy burlesque movements… like how to bump & grind!

-Shift your mindset about being “sexy” in the body you’re in

Week two: Bring The Tease

-Learn to use suggestion and body language to tease and seduce

-Discover how to draw the eye exactly where you want it

-Explore walking in heels (no one has to wear heels but we’ll talk about how to do this for those who do!))

-Learn Part 1 of our class routine

Week three: Elevate The Glamour

-Learn how to exude confidence through movement, eye contact, and intentional movement

-Up your tease game with sexy props like a boa or opera gloves

-Learn Part 2 of our class routine

Week 4: Take It Off!

-The final week is all about sharing striptease secrets, and we will practice removing clothing with style and grace (no n*dity required!)

-Introduce Our Burlesque Personas & Dance our Class Routine together

-Class Photo & Dance Party
